SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION
SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION OF HALAL CERTIFICATION OR WITHDRAWAL OF CERTIFICATION
The client that has obtained a halal certificate may be suspended or terminated due to the following actions:
- Certified client has persistently failed to meet the requirements of certification or to abide by the rules for certification.
- Improper or Misleading use of the Halal Australia certificate or mark.
- Client makes a voluntary formal request to withdraw certification.
- Major non-conformance(s) or effective corrective action not implemented within a specified time period.
- Client is unable or unwilling to ensure conformance to revisions of halal certification requirements once advised by Halal Australia.
- Client fails to meet financial obligations to Halal Australia.
- Client does not allow audit access as required by Halal Australia, or where the client is the cause of a delay in the audit taking place.
- Existence of numerous complaints made by second- or third-party, which indicate that Halal Australia’s halal certification requirements are not being maintained.
- Infringement by the certified client of any contractual conditions between the certified client and Halal Australia.
