IMPARTIALITY POLICY
Halal Australia conducts its Halal Certification activities in a fair and impartial manner, avoiding undue influence arising from conflicts of interest.
All employees at Halal Australia that are involved in Halal Certification activities fully understand the importance of impartiality in operating as a Halal Certification body.
To ensure that impartiality is both maintained and can be demonstrated, Halal Australia has identified and risk assessed all relationships which may result in a conflict of interest or pose a threat to impartiality.
Halal Australia has an independent Impartiality Committee which operates the responsibility to oversee the management of impartiality across the organisation.
As an organisation, Halal Australia is committed to provide complete transparency and to outwardly promote honest operations; the Impartiality Committee serves as a guardian of its core principles.
This committee ensures and confirms that all decisions taken by Halal Australia are based on independent confirmation of conformity and are not swayed by any other interests or outside factors.
Halal Australia will therefore ensure that in all its dealings with clients or potential clients all employees or other personnel are and will remain impartial and does not allow commercial, financial or other pressures to compromise impartiality, this will also maintain under their contracts and appointment letters.
