Which industries are eligible for certification?
We can certify a variety of industries including those that produce:
● Basic food, beverages, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and toiletries, healthcare or chemicals
● Food services facilities only when the premises are completely Halal.
● Poultry plant/butchery/cold room where completely Halal premises or under specific Halal guidelines for batch production. All production must be carried out in the presence of an authorised Halal Inspector for those seeking a temporary license.
Is organically certified food acceptable as Halal?
Yes it may be acceptable as Halal as long as the organically certified products and ingredients and the manufacturing premises meet the Halal requirements.
Is Kosher certified food products acceptable as Halal?
Yes it may be acceptable as Halal as long as the organically certified products and ingredients and the manufacturing premises meet the Halal requirements.
Is Gluten free food products acceptable as Halal?
Yes it may be acceptable as Halal as long as the organically certified products and ingredients and the manufacturing premises meet the Halal requirements.
Is vegetarian or vegan food products acceptable as Halal?

How does the Halal certification process work?
Halal Australia endeavours to make the Halal certification process as simple and efficient as possible. The following is a general guideline of what may be required. However, this should not to be regarded as a conclusive list as requirements could vary depending on the clients specific needs.
